Pride's Prejudice by Misty Dawn Pulsipher Totally loved this modernized,yet clean, version of the Classic favorite I was a little leery of reading a "modernized" version of the Jane Austen classic-Pride & Prejudice which I love, because so often in the case of remakes of "classic" films that means taking the innocence of the era completely out   Since there has been 17 film and television adaptations of Pride and including “sequels,” these traditional and modern renditions spark debate among fans, resulting in lively discourse over which is definitively the best :// Pride and Prejudice is a familiar story - if not read in high school literature class, one can see the theme in dozens of other films: A meddling mother tries to marry off her daughter(s) to "suitable" man, the man and woman fight and all turns out at the end with mayhem ensuing between the first and final ://   Originally published as Pride, Prejudice and Jasmin Field this was the very first modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice I read.

I rather liked the book at the time and gave it 4 stars, but on re-reading it for the 2nd time, I had to downgrade.
